Fifa World Cup Germany 2006
The world cup must have been long gone for about 1 week now. The next is 4 years later. No more staying up watching soccer for awhile.
Somehow, thats pretty dam sad for someone who just started watching soccer, like me.
Yea well, i watched the previous world cups as well, but this was the first i knew the players, and finally grasped the concept of the Offside rule ( despite being lectured by primary school mates for a few years ). It was lotsa helluva funz. And even more so when you watch with maties or enemies.
A major part of the world cup was spent watching with namely rickster and haozer, and on a few occasions special guest chungster would come and join us. Somehow, i always ended up supporting the teams my maties hated with their miserable lives. But when justice rose a metre, the evil would rise a foot. Brazil fell. Argentinian crumpled. It was the italians who gave me that bit of heppiness i need so much for that finals. Oh yeah, and when they own3d germans in teh last 2 mins.
On a memorable day, the world cup was enjoyed with liangster and daryl, rickster and chungster. It was abit wasted bcos them couldnt watch the more important finals with us bcos we used the chance to watch 3rd and 4th placing.
Anyway amongst all teh stuff that is now history, the world cup ended. Its sad. I will surely miss the late nights debating cock with maties, watching teams plod on towards either victory or defeat, and complaining about newppiness of others at winning eleven.
All good things come to an end, but them gdies will come back. 4 years, i'll be waiting. Till then, u gopes, south americans.
